Nicaragua

I had the opportunity to spend the past four days hanging out with four of my best friends in Nicaragua. We had a great time, and it was a great opportunity to slow down and really appreciate the opportunities and lifestyle that God has put before us. We have all spent the last few years focusing on our business careers, some of us more than others, and we all discussed the fact that we must continue along career paths that allow for vacations like this one. First off, it is just important to have some freedom and spontanaity to our lives. This is one of my favorite aspects of this amazing group of friends, we never have a plan and always end up having a huge amount of fun. This spontinaity is less about the vacations and more about the way of life that allows for the vacations. That leads me into the second aspect, we all realized the importance of not settling down into a way of life that restricts us and keeps us from moving around freely. This includes purchasing houses and all of the aspects of the american dream that are vital to the retirement focused generation that is nearing the end of their careers presently. It is just great to see a group of guys that all having a huge amount of potential but are not willing to follow anybody elses plan for their lives, espeicially the status quo. Other than the great discussion, we just had a ton of fun which was filled with fishing and 4 wheelers. Nicaragua was a great place to vist, and the guys really want to buy some property. So, who knows, we might be taking some more regular trips to Nicaragua. In all, the weekend was great and a breath of fresh air. You (whoever actually reads this) should really take some time out for a random trip out of the country sometime soon. At least live your life in a way where you can if you want.
